Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the MuseQR website and services operated by the Central Cultural Fund. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

MuseQR is a digital platform that provides QR code generation and management services for museums and cultural institutions, including digital cataloguing, mobile content delivery, analytics, and content management tools.

Service Access

MuseQR is provided as a free service to museums and cultural institutions under the Central Cultural Fund. Access is managed by the Central Cultural Fund and subject to their approval and guidelines.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our services to violate laws, infringe rights, transmit malicious code, gain unauthorized access, disrupt the service, use commercially without authorization, or upload inappropriate content.

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Rights

The MuseQR platform is owned by the Central Cultural Fund and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our services.

Museum Content

Museums and cultural institutions retain ownership of their collections. We provide tools for managing and displaying content but do not claim ownership of museum materials.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. We implement appropriate security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Disclaimers and Limitations

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. While we work with museums to ensure content accuracy, we cannot guarantee completeness of all information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Service Availability

MuseQR is provided free of charge to approved museums and cultural institutions. The service is maintained by the Central Cultural Fund as part of their mission to preserve and promote Sri Lanka's cultural heritage.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for violations of these Terms, with reasonable notice for other reasons, or upon request from the Central Cultural Fund.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
