Full Description
These shipwrecked glass bottles were discovered in the sea near the lighthouse at Great Basses Reef. The site is also known as “Bottles Wreck” because a large number of bottles were found submerged there. They have been identified as belonging to a British vessel that sank in the mid-nineteenth century.
The name of the company that manufactured the bottles is embossed on them as “SUPERIOR SODA WATER CLARKE ROMA & CO. CEYLON.”
